Welcome to my technical communication website on this fine Tuesday in January.
Technical Writing has evolved into a more encompassing profession called Technical Communication. The primary focus of a technical communicator is to deliver usable information products, always with consideration of a deliverable’s intended audience and purpose. The types of information products could include online help, websites, user manuals, engineering specifications, process and procedure documents, presentations, training materials, promotional/marketing materials, related graphics, and other business documents. These information products could require presentation on a variety of media, such as hardcopy/print/PDF, electronic/online, audio, or video. Needless to say, a technical communicator must possess a wide variety of skills to design and produce information designed to enlighten your world and to successfully clarify the information around you.
